About Us
Studio 4 PR is the realization of a dream for me. Letting my entrepreneurial wings take flight and work in a field that enables me to combine all the things I love (art, writing, and people) and be my own boss—it just doesn't get any better than that.
My career path to get here is like a patchwork quilt—squares in different patterns that when sewn together somehow work. I've been in broadcast news, corporate, non profit, event planning, internet marketing, and the tourism and hospitality industries. I've written, promoted, planned, and implemented. I've worked with community leaders, heads of corporations, small businesses, students, and entrepreneurs.
I'm also a late blooming artist. I never took an art class, didn't think I could even draw a straight line, let alone anything that looked like anything, yet in my late 30s, I developed this burning desire to paint. I was also a new homeowner and confirmed HGTV addict, so I was like a kid with a new box of crayons and basically painted everything I could get my hands on.
I'm a “trash to treasure” girl. Some people bring home stray animals; I bring home stray pieces of furniture and store them in my garage. (Much to my husband's dismay because there's no room for the lawnmower.) But, they're like my children and I have plans to do something with every one of them.
I longed to be an artist fulltime. My husband kept saying “show me the money.” Working all day and taking care of a house, husband, and very busy two year old left me very little time to actually work on my art, let alone promote it.
That's when it dawned on me. What if other creative types are facing the same challenges? Who's helping the mom who's sewing designer handbags at midnight after the rest of the house is asleep? How many other kitchen table entrepreneurs have a great idea, but no way to get the word out?
Studio 4 PR is specifically designed to fill a niche that the press release distribution services (or freelance writers) can't and the big PR companies don't want to. It's for the creative entrepreneurs who have the talent and the back story that the media loves, but not the time or the big bucks to promote themselves.
We help our clients break out of their shells and be seen by a wider audience through press releases, events, articles, media kits, PR plans, and much more.
At Studio 4 PR, our mission is to give creative types and kitchen table entrepreneurs the visibility they deserve at a price they can afford.
If you have any questions about Studio 4 PR's services, please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to working with you!
